Women lead the way in property ownership
Women are at the helm of South Africa’s property landscape, now owning 52% of properties registered to single individuals, compared with 48% owned by men. In this edition we explore where women are buying, for how much and their property preferences. We also take a look at how affordability pressures have reduced the share of buyers under 35 from 45% to 30% over two decades.
Women own more properties than men
