2024 in numbers
Residential property sales remained steady year-on-year, with the Western Cape dominating high-value sales. Bishopscourt and Clifton led with properties sold for over R50m. Nearly half of first-time buyers were aged 30-45, with freehold properties comprising over 50% of sales. Meanwhile, new residential stock dropped to 50.5k units, while non-residential transactions exceeded 2023 in both value and volume.

Coastal towns were December's top holiday destinations, with Mossel Bay and Plettenberg Bay leading the pack. National road traffic surged, with stops on the N3 up 46%.
