2024 in numbers
Residential property sales remained steady year-on-year, with the Western Cape dominating high-value sales. Bishopscourt and Clifton led with properties sold for over R50m. Nearly half of first-time buyers were aged 30-45, with freehold properties comprising over 50% of sales. Meanwhile, new residential stock dropped to 50.5k units, while non-residential transactions exceeded 2023 in both value and volume.
