Role Overview
Lightstone is seeking a Marketing Manager for the Auto Cluster, with expertise in content marketing strategy formulation, digital marketing, and execution. This role will play a crucial part in shaping and implementing our digital marketing initiatives, with a strong focus on product marketing, lead generation, client retention, and overall brand elevation in the highly competitive automotive market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior management, commercial and product teams to develop comprehensive content marketing strategies and calendars aligned with seasonal trends and market conditions.
- Involvement and contribution at an Auto Senior Management Team level to understand the strategy of the business, the industry dynamics, and priorities, and tailoring the marketing message to serve changing dynamics.
- Lead the creation and optimization of compelling content across digital platforms to enhance brand visibility, engage target audiences, and differentiate Lightstone and its partners. This will need to be closely aligned with the strategy and product roadmap of the auto business.
- Utilize SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines and improve organic traffic to digital touchpoints.
- Ensure marketing efforts are integrated and aligned with commercial and product strategies to improve campaign ROI.
- Execute lead generation, client retention, and product marketing strategies focusing on positioning, messaging, and promotional activities.
- Work with the design team to ensure brand consistency and integrity across all marketing communications and customer touchpoints, reinforcing brand visibility and reputation.
- Work with the team to implement lead generation campaigns using digital channels (PPC, SEO, social media advertising) to drive web traffic and engagement, and attract qualified prospects.
- Collaborate with the internal team to optimize conversion paths and user journeys through effective content and landing page strategies, leveraging existing CRM systems.
- Analyze campaign performance metrics and KPIs to optimize marketing efforts and achieve targeted ROI goals.
- Work closely with management, commercial, product, and analytics teams, and Lightstone partners to align marketing strategies with business objectives and support initiatives.
- Collaborate with external agencies, vendors, and partners to enhance marketing capabilities and ensure seamless execution of campaigns and projects where necessary.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics using martech tools to measure effectiveness and optimize strategies (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta and LinkedIn Ads Campaign Manager, HubSpot, etc.).
- Prepare regular reports and presentations highlighting campaign results, trends, and actionable insights.
- Manage marketing budgets effectively, allocating resources to maximize ROI on marketing initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management, Digital Marketing, Digital Communications, Business Administration, or Advertising, or equivalent.
- Professional certifications in digital marketing (e.g., Google Ads, Google Analytics, SEO, Meta Business Suite, etc.) are advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
Experience
You should have 5+ years’ experience in mid-senior-level digital marketing roles within B2B and B2C industries with a strong focus on content marketing, lead generation, and product marketing (automotive experience is advantageous). Strong decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Experience and high level of maturity in dealing with people at different seniority levels. Experience and knowledge of the South African automotive industry will be highly beneficial.
Technical Skills
- Full competence in Microsoft Office suite.
- Effective use of CRM.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing principles (SEO, SEM, digital analytics, martech tools).
- Reasonably analytical mindset to interpret data, generate reports, and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing campaign strategies.
